“That's a lot less than would have been built and now that renewables are providing cheaper power they are unlikely to all be built.”

You must be over the moon with Coals comeback.
Just think of all those new jobs that will be created once Adani etc get up and running.
Great times indeed, much better than those token gestures in regards to job creation like Solar farms and bird killers.

Exactly how many on going jobs does a large scale Solar plant create once it is commissioned???
Bird killers are about the same.

Last time I looked it was around 5 to 10.

Great bang for your buck hey.

If I were Adani I would have long ago told the Australia Gov/ Country to belt it where the sun don’t shine in regards to their mine.

Adani needs to take their business else where, to a country that would appreciate the investment.
Somewhere in Africa or even start their own mine in India.
Much more dirtier coal in both areas, but who gives a toss, as long as it’s not coal from Australia. Should be a bonus for the climate on both fronts. ( keep you happy I’m sure )

I hope you are leading by example and living in a hemp tent somewhere, walking wherever you go/ travel , killing and farming your own food and eating it all raw ( don’t need that nasty fire smoke in the atmosphere)
