Well the announcement re proxy forms for the Section 249d of the corporation act was sent out today.
Five more Tuesdays to go.

I’ll confess I have been curious about what Empire directors will  say in relation to this important part of the act :

“The director or directors concerned have the right to submit written representations of no more than 1,000 words with a request that copies of the submission be circulated to members prior to the meeting at the company’s expense. The director or directors also have the right speak to the motion at the meeting.”

The chance for Christensen , Sargeant and  Jessup to put a combination of 3,0000 words together  explaining why they should not be replaced is an important opportunity for defence and argument against the dissident shareholders. .
I am sure shareholders are looking forward  after all these years, to something a bit more convincing than :
“Your Board – which has transparently, confidently and publicly transformed the Company from gold explorer to gold miner – believes this action seeking a new Board, is self-focused and threatens only to erode Empire’s share price"
