    That's all up in the air I believe. Sure development of cars and battery changeing is going forwards in leaps and bounds but Australia is a long distance country. 200miles is still 180km (110 miles) short of a 500km tank of gas that current cars have been doing on 50 litres for yrs, the distance on fuel economic cars is also far greater with some diesels like a vw getting over 1000km (600 miles) on a tank.

    A road trip between Melb- Syd is what 900km (540 miles), who's going to stop three times on that trip as well as wait for a docking station to start a recharge.

    It's all good in theory, but I just can't see I my lifetime a enormous amount of service stations converting to electric battery rechargers.

    Oil will be around as the principle energy source for vehicles for yrs.
