The most efficient means of transferring power will always be a direct connection, the inefficiencies of induction charging don't matter for phones and other small power appliances but it is important for EVs. Although there will be induction charging with its resultant efficiency penalty the more likely scenario will be an automated plug in charger especially for fast charging.
