I've been saying this for years now on HC that we are the only environmentally viable solution for the disposal of PASS in the Melbourne area. To comply with the MMRT project's EES rules - the only other possibility would be to lime treat the PASS - all 1.3 million tonnes of it - expensive and and not a very practical solution given the 24/7 nature of the TBM's activity.
Given the fact that this is the first time that anyone has had to deal with PASS disposal of this magnitude in Melbourne - Mike and his team has put us in the driver's seat to take advantage of this commercial bonanza for many years to come.
The penny will drop sooner or later that we are the only viable option for PASS in Melbourne
