It is interesting that you constantly refer to US and WE when referring to those PDN shareholders that are stuck with shares at the end, as though you have been elected as the spokesman.

I suspect that most of them don't share you complacence with losing all of their money in this particular stock.

It is possible that you are the only one with attitude that you have. even the Trickster is going down fighting and doesn't want to lose all of his money.. there may be a few others though, however I think you will find that most got out at some stage on the way down, or are left wishing that they had, and not trying to save face by pretending that they do not care that they suffered a complete loss.

In regards to tax offsetting future gains, I suspect that in your case at least future gains will be few and far between unless you change your attitude to investing.
