it has nothing to do with hindsight - i sold these at $7 after attending the EGM in brisbane last year - you can search my posts if you dont believe. you will find that i commented on the similarities between eddy groves and alan bond. paying $1Bn for US childcare centres and paying $1Bn for channel 9 - both huge mistakes due to the massive egos involved. further similarities between alan bond buying his own stock trying to prop up the price and convince people the company was fine and eddy groves doing the same thing were also discussed at the time... subprime has nothing to do with it.
