I've just received the propectus in the post so I haven't had a chance to read through it yet, but something that I've seen with this float that I haven't noticed with others is that it is being promoted in NZ. I've seen it on lists of both Access Brokerage and of NZIJ.
This to me was really interesting because geographically Moby in concentrated around southern Australia and holds no acreage at all in NZ, so the people behind this float must be pushing it hard to bother with NZ, which, to be frank, has a market that is pretty uneducated when it comes petroleum E&P."
Moby (and Bass Strait) chairman Albers has close links to New Zealand's oil industry in general, and CUE Energy in particular.
I think you'll find thats the link.
Pay very careful attention to the beneficiaries of an oil find in Moby ; I think you'll find that the big winner is Bass Strait Oil Company (aka Albers), as Moby investors will pay 100% of the cost of drilling for 35% of the proceeds.
