WHY a deal with THX before AUR?

1. Imo, THX had just about exhausted itself both from a financial pov and also from an exploration perspective and wanted to focus on Garden Gully, so would have been ready to treat with SFR. Look at the signs! When did it stop exploration at RB? Whatever the situation, HQ did well for THX shareholders imo.

2. AUR is either happy to keep on chugging away without SFR or is playing the brinkmanship game. It's about to drill down at Ross's Reef in the SE right next to where the SFR/TLM found some nice gold grades and widths, so maybe the former - but I can't be certain.
