Dysprosium oxide prices soften again on ample availability

    2017-06-01 14:38:06

BEIJING (Info-RE) 01-Jun-17 China’s dysprosium oxide prices have been on the downward track during the past few days in line with the ample stocks available around the market as well as the lack of purchases from consumers.

99% dysprosium oxide is currently available about RMB1,170-1,190/kg($173-176/kg) for the moment, in comparison with RMB1,180-1,190/kg($174-176/kg) seen last week.

Some sources said that it is hard to find motivated buyers now even at the lower end of the price range due to the lack of buyers.

A number of market players are cautious about the dysprosium outlook in the coming weeks because there is still plenty of the rare earth oxide available around the market but demand from downstream consumers is expected to be quiet in the coming months.

1170 base price now, how low can it go?

When ALL other magnetics are holding recent price gains.

Been calling the False Idol for years, shouldn't come as any surprise, HRE has lost its primary economic rationalisation outside China's ionic clays.
