Oz has had a dearth of metalliferous exploration success for near on two decades. As the continent is mature for exploration then the probability for the discovery of stand-alone deposits is greater than that than for the discovery of new mineral provinces. Simply because a whole province will throw off a lot more indicators to explorers at the surface than a single deposit.
