Yes, shorters are indeed often maligned, but for the life of me I can't understand why.
I am a strictly long-only, intrinsic value investor and I absolutely love shorters.
I can't tell how many times I have been able to profit handsomely from short-sellers driving share prices down to fundamentally under-valued levels where I have been able to buy them.
The market needs more short-selling, I say.
