State governments are a waste of space and money.
Abolish state governments and only have Federal and local governments.
It would be cheaper to have a national standard on schooling, policing, hospitals etc etc.
Have universal fees on registrations stamp duty etc etc.
All taxes go to the Feds and funds are distributed to priority projects first around the country.
Local councils can put forward cases for funding of large projects and be attended to on a case by case basis.
Council rates will still apply for the every day running of the local area.
Local roads, parks, sewage, wast management etc etc.
