Why would the Indonesian Gov't approve DSO shipping when those 2 x 50 year old furnaces are due to arrive in the first Qtr 2018. Surely GMC will need all the Mn ore they can get to feed those hungry furnaces. The Indonesian Gov't doesn't just allow DSO shipping to feed GMC coffers. The most likely scenario is those 2 x old secondhand furnaces will arrive and they'll need more Mn ore to feed them as they're already outdated relics of the past. Oh yes, GMC is spending a few dollars to supposedly upgrade them, really. Do you know how much it costs to upgrade 50 year old furnaces to modern specs? You only have to look at what is happening in Nangxia China at present, all the old furnaces in China are not only power hungry but they also have a dreadful impact on the environment.
GMC would do better if they issued another 2 x billion or so shares and then buy some new modern furnaces. Especially when the power/electricity costs are so expensive in Indonesia.
Otherwise what will happen is the Indonesian villagers will be complaining and demonstrating against all that pollution and then eventually the smelters will be shut down.
Its happening in China, do you really think Indonesia is any different?
