drp schemes very dilutive in recession

Bionic yours is an overly negative header so thought I would distract things for readers

I have dilemma with DRP schemes with prices down so much, not only for AMA but others at the moment.

AMA classic case to review=

Final div. 2.1c, weighted av for 7 days to 7/11/08 6.9cents, reduced to 6.4c because of 7.5% discount with DRP

COMPANY SHARES ISSUED 134,466,250
DIVIDEND VALUE therefore $2,823,791
EQUIVALENT NUMBER OF SHARES 44,294,000 if paid by shares [$2.8M / 6.4C]

This is a 33% dilution arising from sudden drop in SP
