I've also considered the possibility of a drop in paid users due to UOL churn but then thought about the fact that about a month ago updated all their brochures to say 750k+. Then they still said 750k+ in the Tarsus presentation last week.

I'd think it unlikely they would update marketing material with that number unless it was still accurate. In fact I would think they would only use numbers once they were safely above them in case they did drop back below.

We'll find out soon enough!
