I don't know what the contract that Hills signed says, but I am friends with one of the guys who ran the Tyco distribution before QSS.
They (Tyco) would only sign the agreement if they were able to import gear for there own use, (not for resale to other security companies).
Perhaps things have changed, but I wouldn't guarantee it.
You will only find out if a Tyco subsidiary gets a major project, and Hills makes no statement.....
(Day-to-day small jobs are a different story.)
The term Exclusive Distributor has an awful lot of wiggle room!
