STAGE II CAMDEN GAS PROJECT

20 Well Drilling Program
Sydney Gas Ltd provides the following update upon its current 20 production well
drilling program within Stage II of its Camden Gas Project. All 20 wells are being
drilled upon Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute (“EM”) land near Camden,
being Crown land managed by NSW Department of Primary Industries – Agriculture.
EM 18 Reaches Total Depth
As planned, EM 18 production well, located less than 3 km from the site of the
Rosalind Park Gas Plant (“RPGP”) at Campbelltown, now supplying sales gas to AGL
Wholesale Gas Ltd, was successfully drilled to a total depth of 704m on 31 January
2005. Within the Upper Permian Illawarra Coal Measures, the Bulli coal seam was
intersected at a depth of 638m-641m. EM 18 is the seventh production well of the 20
EM production well program to reach total depth.
EM 20 Spudded
In keeping with Sydney Gas’ current drilling program, EM 20 production well was
spudded on 2 February 2005. It is planned that EM 20 will intersect the Bulli coal
seam within the Upper Permian Illawarra Coal Measures at a depth of approximately
640m, and reach a total depth of approximately 705m.
Production Test/Sales Gas
The 20 EM production wells are being drilled inside Sydney Gas’ high production
fairway within Stage II of the Camden Gas Project. Once drilled, these wells will be
fracture stimulated and completed. When dewatered, these wells will be put on a
production flow test program. It is planned to then tie them into the gas gathering
system that is delivering gas to the RPGP for sale to AGL.
