Drilling Report No. 16 East Wing ST-1 Well at 0600 hours PEP 168 Otway Basin Victoria
Essential Petroleum Resources Limited (ASX: EPR) advises that at 0600 hours, the East Wing ST-1 operation had reached a measured depth of 2247 mKB and is drilling ahead.
Elevated gas readings peaking at 687 units over a measured depth interval from 2194 to 2199 mKB have been recorded. Subsequent gas peaks of up to 150 units in clean sands in the upper Waarre Formation have been recorded down to a measured depth of 2233 mKB.
The planned operation is to drill the full thickness of the Waarre Formation to the top of Eumeralla Formation at an expected measured depth of approximately 2350 mKB. The well will then be logged.
Essential Petroleum owns 100% of the PEP 168 permit.
