I just watched a most interesting show on SBS re: the development of modern day large deep sea rigs . Not too many years ago Shell discovered oil in the Gulf of Mexico in plus 1000m depths after spending a billion on new technology . Before these deeper discoveries the Gulf was running out of oil . Perhaps there will be similar new discoveries in the depths offshore WA .
As Good Oil has pointed out ... very high risk and very high reward .
