As I understand it, Gilbert-1 will be followed by Maclean-1...both of which will be drilled immediately following Basker-2.
Basker-2 is currently at about 2,500m of a prognosed 3360m total depth...the drilling and completion program is scheduled to take approximately 40 days, giving a high side finish date around Spetember 22
If trouble free, the "Ocean Patriot" rig may be relocated to the Gilbert-1 site much earlier than this, however if problems are encountered at Basker-2, they may need all of this time.
The 40 day schedule includes contingencies for delays for all sorts of reasons...one of which, it appears they are exeriencing right now.
Drilling of Basker-2 has been halted due to mechanical problems at the current depth...from what I can gather, this is in the process of being recitified and drilling should re-commence shortly (probably tomorrow), with a new bit.
This has effectively put back the drilling timeframe some 3 or 4 days...but is still within the original parameters.
I suspect this may have had an impact on the Gilbert and Maclean JV partners today.
Cheers!
