Yeah good chat, I agree. Completely agree on anchoring, formed a decent part of my research project in my Masters (on the reason for, and the effectiveness of stop losses). I am certainly partial to anchoring to a negative view, but at the same time, my research suggests that investment success is just as much, if not more, about minimising losses over picking winners. For that reason I am happy to let a few 'go through to the keeper' that end up being great investments in order to minimise the dogs I invest in (but rest assured I have still had my fair share haha).
Absolutely is about FA, TA and psychology/cognitive biases. The third part undoes a lot of investors, particularly anchoring and confirmation bias (which is prevalent on literally every stock on hotcopper). We all fall victim to these biases but its about minimising them.
