I'll second that, Duke!

Quite happy this guy is on top of the science and facts involved in the Lynas waste issue. 
Trying hard NOT to think what I would be compelled to do were such a linguistic force peddling BS, e.g., 48VMHs, LOL.

We all recognize that he's preaching to the choir, of course, but perhaps some good can/will come from letters to editors and the like.  I sure would like to hear if any such activism might be behind any recent articles; a victory or two would be encouraging.  It's not like there's any other avenue of action for us, so credit where it's due (shout-out to hwlooi) for thinking outside the forum.

Unfortunately, the news in Malaysia is printed in multiple languages and the newspapers are generally mouthpieces for one political party or another and nothing gets in the way of education like political indoctrination, so every news and info outlet will need to be contacted, convinced and consistent in reporting the facts in a easy-to-grasp format. 

Chances are nothing like that will happen in a meaningful timeframe.  Even here in America, the mainstream media constructs a narrative then reports fake news accordingly;  established facts are extraneous to political goals and reality, like statistics, is twisted to serve.

A Lynas 4Q shutdown looms, either in ~September (if Yeo gets her way) or ~November (due to concentrate processing limits; i.e., in the event Yeo doesn't get her way, but she prevents Lynas from obtaining a NEXT-enabling license).  That's going to weigh heavily on the LYC SP.  Nothing like the joy of waiting forever or forever discounting opportunity costs.

Lynas may or may not be a great one-trick pony, but it still has to jump over a high fence to get to the launchpad.
