kPool - I am suggesting that the price (wholesale and therefore retail) will drop faster than the fixed costs of SOO or any other wholesalers.

This will erode margins and accelerate the concentration of the wholesale industry into fewer companies which are then able to spread the small unit profit margin over their (relatively) inflexible fixed costs. How many LCD screen makers, car makers etc are left?

SOO may be a winner/a takeover target/a dead duck. Which depends partly on luck, on the shape and speed of the consolidation.
