US census jobs are around 550,000 people...running around collecting 10 year statistics on other people. Once this finishes in about 6 weeks, you'll have another 500K people on the street looking for work. Governments can create an illusion of job creation, however it all comes out in the wash eventually...if you take out the census job numbers the US is going backwards. you need 125K of new job creation just to keep up with population growth...let alone a recovery.
