What befuddles me is not only the length of time for deliberation as it is a no brainer of an answer that is required, which is drill the damn wells. But why isn't this in mainstream media, let's take Lakes out of the picture for the moment, but look at the knuffies in Canberra running our once great industrial manufacturing country to now heading towards a becoming a big warehouse for the rest of the worlds products and this energy debate going on, unfortunately these knuffies are not looking at the big picture as to why we don't have manufacturing anymore on a large scale due to not only wage cost but energy costs I have 2 large customers that are currently being penalised financially for using to much power and gas to produce their products and liquids which are sold to large well known household names throughout the world, sorry to digress but with the resources we have sitting in the ground throughout Vic they need to be accessed to assist in relief to not only the average consumer but to large industry to encourage more employment, Hazlewood that was shut down due to the fuel being used would be better off converted to a gas fired power station to not only reinvigorate employment in the Gippsland area but mitigate some of the ridiculous charges we are all paying at the present time, but to sum up this issue needs to be in mainstream media to make not only voters but society as a whole aware of what the knuffies that make ridiculous decisions of which once voted out are never held accountable for in the future, where certain trades and industry are and can be liable for their entire career or life of the business and longer!

Just to add that alternative energies will not cut the mustard for at least the next 10 - 20 years so we need to worry about this country and our future generations before we try and make a big name for ourselves of going green to the rest of the world!
