If the Govt wins then everybody suffers but if the Company wins then everybody wins as the funds will be used to produce energy and employment throughout the entire country not just Victoria. Most people living in large cities have on idea how vulnerable they are in an energy supply crisis. The fact that such a supply crisis is upon them now and they don't realise it is the making of a catastrophe. The shutting down of Australias oil exploration industry and refining capacity has given us $1.60/ litre of unleaded (heading for at least $2.00) and the faulty NBN is giving us the highest (and slowest) internet cost in the world. While our food growers are about to be decimated the Fed Govt hands out $500,000,000.00 to a virtual unknown company who will use it to swim around in the balmy waters of North Qld. (to which most Australians are unable to afford access) and paying millions in TV and newspaper ads to tell us how lucky we are that they're saving 344,000 square kms of reef stretching some 2300 kms. It's boggle time.
