Disagree - web traffic from these guys is minimal, and not really all that focussed, not very strategic, and not much of a channel.

"Communities" is an facade

MP3 is ecommerce,
as is QFX (bad, bad model that Netflix is exiting quickly as its capital intensive to keep buying the new release titles that 100% of customers want - and if they dont get, they move on)

What other communities of significance are there?

MPH is significant, but 1990's, solid, and it needs electronic frontage as DES's largest and most important acquisition - these two sites wont do much for that. QFX wont do that for MPH either.

Problem with min acq's is management time - DES will spend as much time on these as it would a decent size acqusition - and the strategy is still wondering in the "woods"

In terms of market perception - this deal has done nada in terms of price or volumes for DES - speaks for itself and echoes my thinking.
