apparently the further south you go down the east coast of australia, the harder it is to extract the gas from the coal. not sure if it has to do with temperature but it is a fact i confirmed once with andy lucas. i think this is why sgl has found it difficult to perform like those gas stocks further north, into qld...

maybe if technology improves this problem can be overcome? qgc were once interested in sgl, i bet sgl shareholders are peeved they didnt take qgc's offer now.
