If you read the announcement really really carefully, you dont see they are claiming it is economic - they dont say that, and they dont estimate the reserve size.
What they are committing to is a bit of 3D next year - delaying any final information about whether it's economic or not until then (and the 3D will probably only cost about $0.5m between the 3 partners).
Dodgy, yes. But it means the MOGOs excersise.
