I am intrigued - did the lab / GP tell you what bug you had caught?

It is very interesting with food safety and public health that 2 people get violently ill while eating the same meal? Most things don't happen that quickly unless for instance you are both seafood allergic and the food you ordered contained seafood? Other options are that you already both had a viral stomach infection and the smell and act of eating can cause that reaction. Some chemicals, drugs and contamination can do the same when ingested so always bottle a sample in a glass jar and have it tested for example. Contamination on both peoples hands from chemicals even if it the cats new flea collar just fitted for example.

One person seeing another sick is often a natural trigger for them to be also .
In general something that has been thoroughly cooked to a high heat ( often not the case) as people rush stuff through ovens kills a lot of nasties but others can survive as there are so many variables including if there was a length of time before food was eaten and if it was reheated etc etc. Could be the drink you had with meal.

Not saying it wasn't pizza and not knowing your circumstances but just pointing out but there is not a huge number of things that cause what you described that relate to a instant violent reaction and lots get misinterpreted. Always interesting to know if it had ever happened before or afterwards and the circumstances and just make a record of your prior activities and food for the week before each event to see later if there is a common trend. It can be very hit and miss to narrow it down
