I understand what you mean, but strictly speaking this is not called short selling. What you described is more like a "tree shaking"
But anyway, don't think it's "tree shaking" as the the share price is fallen by small percent slowly. If it's a real "tree shake" it will be a massive sell off which cause the SP fell a dramatic amount.
