rattle, I first came across STL at a investor roadshow early last year - April I think, it was the Techknow investors conference in Melbourne where Todd was promoting the company - I liked what I saw and based on that I did my homework and bought my initial stake within a few weeks.
Investor roadshows are a standard avenue for companies seeking to raise the profile of their business to the investor community. I have invested in some good stocks whose price never moves because management make zero effort to communicate to the investor community - whether it be ASX announcements, investor roadshows or whatever. They are very frustrating stocks to be invested in because you know they are good business but there's just no buying interest because nobody knows about them. I would always rather a stock I invest in have a good communication strategy to the market because that inevitably helps generate buying demand if they perform.
And as for focusing on the business to grow it rather than doing presentations I would say communication is a necessary part of any business just like admin - you can't just focus on the business' core activity without doing all the supportive functions.
Cheers, Sharks

I'm still a beginner, it just took 20 posts to get the full meaning across. Everything is obvious when you know, but the word "Roadshow" is a bit miss-leading/confusing when you don't know.
Nice roundup to conclude this little episode Sharks.
P.S. I hear ATM,s are thriving in Asia.
