Yes, I just knew it would be a mixed result. It augurs well for the other Australian GI stocks esp. IAG and QBE and the other banks but indicates the life insurers such as AMP etc should still be doing it tough if you can extrapolate the results across.
It will come off a bit in the next few days as that result achieves little than indicate that GI is more immune to commercial pricing competitiveness than the market thought.
It may have the upper hand in any proposal with BEN but the fit is still yet to be absorbed.
