MAP distributions are not tax deferred for ever.
All tax deferred distributions REGARDLESS WHO THEY ARE PAID FROM are tax deferred until
1. You sell the investment, at which time the the tax deferred portion of all distributions recieved are applied to reducing your original cost base resulting in an increased capital gain
or
2. The cumulative total of tax deferred portions of all distributions recieved while holding the investment exceed the original cost of the investment, At this point all future tax deferred distributions ARE NO LONGER tax deferred and a taxable capital gain at the time of recieving them. The cost base of your original investment will also from this point be NIL and the proceeds on disposal will be fully taxable.
