Don’t worry you are not alone in being taken in by an articulate promising all and delivering very little salesman. Check out the links and it appears our mate has been involved with between 70 and 80 different companies and has mined the market for around $250,000,000.00. This is all in the public domain for anyone that wishes to read it. The underwriting fees at say 5% would still bring in around $12.5 M add in the directors and consulting fees and you can understand the desperation to hang on.
It’s why I continue to tell people to do their research and due diligence before parting with their over taxed hard earned money.
Good luck at the meeting, perhaps you could recover some of your money selling tomatoes at the door of the meeting room! Of course I jest I know you have more decorum than that!
