Some of the caravans there are as low as $50 per night. If you do the maths and assume more marketing towards adding listings, there's some significant money there.
Here's some back of the envelope numbers from my research:
Assume an average rental fee of $100pn.
Qanda would make about $18pn profit
Target 100 caravans on the site.
Assume 50% utilisation (ie. 50% of the time, all caravans are out... it'll probably be higher for some, lower for others)
That's $328k profit.. with only 100 vans.... and there's tens of THOUSANDS in Australia.. then look at a possible overseas expansion.
Then add insurance to that as an option... and other services too. Could be big money.
Cars have a lower profit margin, but more volume will be going through with cars.
