America spends more money than Russia and China combined many times over. Regardless of which president was in charge they wouldn't stop China grabbing more sandbars, they have been doing it for years. The recent military increase was more than the Russian annual expenditure alone which is actually falling. You talk about China but its no different to America continuing to build dozens of military bases every year to the hundreds already around the world, particularly in the Middle east and Africa which is nowhere near the US, at least the Chinese are building up their assets in the South China Sea than thousands of miles away.

If they spend the hundreds of billions more on the military they could have had drinkable water in Flint, improved infrastructure to be competitive, a better transport system to improve efficiency, less chance for dilapidated infrastructure causing greater fires and drought. The jobs alone to rebuild this would have something more lasting than lining up the profits of the MIC.

North Korea has asked the US to stop their large scale military drills off their nation that the US does during harvest times and they would to stop rockets testing as a response. Trump has done that and the NK have be responded in a reciprocal manner, which is kudos to Trump to do it despite the US undermining it by moving more military assets to the region that makes the deal fragile as best.

The USA economy is going good, but what is that exactly built on? Is their infrastructure improving, is their economy diversifying and competitiveness improving, do they have more affordable healthcare, clean drinking water, improved roads? How much of it is cyclical regardless of which president is in charge. If the markets crash or GDP falls will you blame Trump?
