Well I'd hazzard a guess that Mr Barnett doesn't know Mr Stokes that well at all.

Considering Mr Barnetts acknowledgment that Padbury had 7 meetings with his
departments and personal staff over the last 14 Months without ever being granted
a meeting with Mr Barnett, probably shows how much merit they believed this so
called "proposal" really had.

Also Mr Barnett, if I'm not wrong, was aware of the Padbury "proposal" (I'd assume via
his departments and staff with whom Padbury 7 meetings) and in Mr Barnetts own words -
"It seems to me that there is little substance behind Padbury"......."I haven't met with them -
I dont intend to"........."I don't believe it's realistic - simple as that". Quoted from The
Australian April 24.
