The US economy is USD$13.5 Trillion, the tariffs apply to USD$200 Billion goods @ 15%. That's USD$30 Billion, or 0.2% of the economy (30b/13,500b). It's like a smartphone at JB HIFI being $500 today, $501 tomorrow
Just looking back 30 years ago, tariffs were much higher and widely spread. These trade wars are a bit of smoke and mirrors at the moment
