I email MYG and asked why the SLR approach was not announced to the market and negotiations not entered into to ascertain what SLR were willing to pay. I receive a very courteous response from Tony James below which I have taken on face value as he seems very genuine. Maybe the board didn't know about the approach? The SLR Directors only mentioned they had approached one Director to me. Maybe it didn't go any further than that one Director?

Dear Mr xxxxxxxxx,  Thank you for your email and query.  I personally joined the Mutiny board on 31st March this year before becoming MD in June 2015.  During the time of my involvement with the company I am un aware of any approaches by Silver Lake or anybody else.  I briefly discussed with the board members who were here prior to me and they are unaware of any approaches as well. So my apologies I can’t help you with respect to those enquiries.

In relation to the current proposal with Doray which is outlined in the recent announcement, the board unanimously recommend the Doray proposal (in the absence of a superior proposal).  More detail will also be set out in the soon to be released bidders statement for your consideration.  The detail in the presentation also is quite good in terms of explaining the logic to the proposal.
