Directors do need to declare their holdings and any changes to said holdings as the laws currently stand .
Just go back through the announcements from the company and you will be able to read the notices which also state the "Nature of the Change", whether it be "On Market Purchase", meaning they just bought them through their broker. On market is the best as it shows faith by the Directors in the Company.
If it was because of an SPP it will state that and will show whether it was in their Super Fund or in their own names.
The Directors holdings are also in the Annual Reports.
They must declare their holdings within so many days of any change. This is usually on a Form Appendix 3Y.
