I think the key to this is to look closely at how well the business is being managed because, if interest rates rise, the weaker competitors will be pushed to the wall quicker and competition and places will drop off. Having said that, there is no way higher interest rates will not translate to lower profits for a number of industries. Pricing power is limited irrespective of competitive changes due to political sensitivity.
