Helped a friend through a similar course (Deakin) a few years ago.
Why do you want to do the course? Is it for a qualification so you can have it on a CV at a job interview? If so - then it's probably a necessary ingredient. However, if you want to actually learn how to do business and run your own show - in my limited experience with actual small/medium business owners - the best education is in the field. Mate of mine did Banking and Finance at Monash - worked in a bank and BMW corporate but at the end of the day he quit and started his own business - he's just opened up his second shop front and tells me that he has learnt EVERTHING he needed to know to set up, maintain and double his business by shadowing his mentor in the field and learning by doing.
The majority of subjects the uni/TAFE dish out will be common sense stuff - still useful if you have zero experience in the industry but you're probably better off learning through experience. Unless of course as I mentioned before: you're eyeing a job that insists on a degree as a prerequisite - then obviously do the study to aid in your application process.
not sure if I've helped lol - happy to talk more if you have any specific questions. But the course itself won't be hard - lots of assignments but that's more quantity of work over quality and you do gain a better insight into how things work (broad spectrum though so it won't be too specific).
