They should have taken the whole lot (anyone who wanted to sell) as that's what underwriters are meant to do in spirit if not in letter. It was a very poorly structured deal to begin with - that's their fault. They will end up recovering only a fraction of the money owed to them anyway and the legal process will stay in the news for months. BCS are already distancing themselves from the recovery process, suggesting they will adhere to the underwriters demands but under duress.
Can't wait for the first Today Tonight special featuring a pensioner being evicted from their house in order to fund this debacle.
