No, it makes good sense from MQG's point of view. They are protecting the financial structure of the deal, particularly the $300 million dollars or so that they have already paid out to the builders. Now they'll get that back from the underwriters i.e. Deutsche Bank and themselves! But at least they'll own a share of the road at a 33% discount.
