Hey old 'but not as smart' brother,i do read where product comes from,if i can find it.Also the bs labelled made in australia from local and imported ingredients,also the bs made in australia.Go to the wow/wes deli's ,normally all hams labelled as per above,if yr lucky u will find one platter of ham labelled product of australia.I thought they were going to legislate so labelling was very clear ie country of origin ie product of australia .
ps i thought wes presentation was very good re their understanding they will innovative/change business models/do what ever it takes to change with markets even enter new markets etc.
I wil buy back into wes at some stage,can't say the same for wow currently.
ps i guess yr description of 'u people' refers to my union comments,well let me confirm,u have moderate unions eg AWU,and u have militant unions eg ETU.Guess which one runs spc.As paul howe ex boss AWU suggested,sometimes unions go to far,imo the ETU has being going to far for to long at spc.

ps call me unpatriotic but the one foreign food product i do buy is amusingly at least to me the french 'jam' because it has no added sugar and tastes better.Thats one product,otherwise its australian produce absolutely where possible even if it requires a premium price to b paid eg rice,peas etc etc etc .
ps also imo coles does make a greater effort to buy australian specialty food products more than wow.
