It occurs to me that RT is either somewhat fastidious when it comes to the strategy of proving up the resources/or moving too slow, that's what I gather from comments here, I don't know him.
However I don't think SBM with their holding would be allowing a go slow to occur, so just from that principle I would have to assume that the best way forward is in train which may take a little time.
I would also guess that when the resource is proved to their satisfaction SBM will seek more engagement.
In that respect a contained sp may be beneficial for them.
