We have cemeteries here, of course, and dependant upon demand, many pre existing, sacred to a few, sites are "turned over" on a 30 odd year rotation. Necessity provides, it seems. Burial sites eventually get built over, at least in persistent, progressive civilizations.
And, like you, I know nothing of Deebing Creek.
