Phoebe, it's amazing how the AFR and motley fool can get away with writing absolute rubbish, yet you find yourself the subject of legal backlash after your articles about Dominos. Obviously it hit a nerve. Good for you I say!
It's interesting the world of stock markets, press and big corporations. For example have you noticed how some companies (brokers) go to the media saying they rate a stock as a Buy, only to see that the broker data shows they were selling at the same time.
Don't worry.. Dominos appears to be getting their just desserts. Have you seen the short positions today? Up over 10% now. Maybe your work has helped people to see some truths.
Not sure how to help your personal situation with them... maybe call Slater & Gordon (sorry little joke on my behalf).
It's unethical that reporters seem to get away with so much rubbish these days, yet you find yourself in this situation. What do the other journalists do to protect themselves?
Would be great if you could expose UBS and their connection with AFR. Talk to Leon Zwier if you want serious help. There's massive fraud in Aussie business to uncover for those who are willing ... however some say it's good for volatility of markets, as is the case for DMP. Leon may be able to help you with legal protection when writing exposing documents.
I have noticed DMP like to fight back on any negative media. They like to be in control, which is great if you are a shareholder. Interesting times ahead for them I think. It is a great business, however perhaps a few chinks in the armour at the moment.
